2007-03-15 Distribution Release: Foresight Linux 1.1

2007-03-08 Development Release: Foresight Live CD 2.17.92
Although the new GNOME 2.18 is scheduled for release in less than a week, those of you who can’t wait for the final code can check out the new Foresight live CD, version 2.17.92. As announced by Ken VanDine, this is the project’s first attempt at building a bootable CD image, with the additional bonus of carrying the new release candidate of GNOME 2.18: "Just published the first Foresight-based live CD! Very exciting, we have wanted to do this for a long time but it has never really made it to the top of the priority list. I am even more excited that it includes the GNOME 2.18.0 release candidate (2.17.92)." The new Foresight live CD is available for download from here: foresight-2.17.92-x86.iso (594MB).

Ken VanDine has announced the release of Foresight Linux 1.0.1: "The Foresight Linux community is proud to release version 1.0.1 of Foresight Linux. Ken VanDine has announced the availability of Foresight Linux 0.9.9, the latest development build of the desktop-oriented distribution based on rPath Linux and its Conary package management system: "I am very pleased to announce the release of Foresight Linux 0.9.9. What is new in this release? Compiz is now included. Also included GnuCash, GnomeScan, and the Synaptics driver. 2006-10-29 Development Release: Foresight Linux 0.9.8.3
Ken VanDine has announced a new development release of Foresight Linux: "Announcing Foresight Linux 0.9.8.3. This release includes a bunch of version bumps and bug fixes. Most significant updates are Firefox 2.0 and Flash 9. Also sporting Conary 1.1.10 and rAA 1.0.7 which we have started to re-brand for Foresight. It still has the rPath look, but is now labelled ’Foresight System Manager’ and will soon have a full Foresight look and feel. Mono, F-Spot, Banshee and Beagle have all been updated. Our installer has seen some major changes. The most noticeable change is the updated artwork, however behind the scenes there are some significant improvements."
