2006-07-24 Distribution Release: GoblinX Mini 1.4.0

The GoblinX Mini 1.4.0 is out today: "The GoblinX 1.4.0 has several important improvments. The Liveupgrade, our livecd remaster tool, now has a new main window with all options you can enable before create your own livecd, there are also several new GUIs prepared to use, gtkDSL which is a graphical interface to configure accounts and start DSL connections, gtkSwap, used to create swap memory files, gtkQivss, a Qiv slideshow interface, gtkSplitz, to divide files into pieces and gtkImods, to use with modules and install modules to harddisk." A release candidate for GoblinX Mini 1.4.0 is ready for testing: "The first release candidate of GoblinX Mini 1.4.0 is out today. The release candidate is out to anyone who wants to test and know more about the next release, also we wish that you report any errors or bugs found while using the release candidate version. GoblinX 1.4.0 rc01 has some important improvements, but not every new ones are added yet. There is a massive upgrade of packages and also Unionfs, SquashFS and kernel (2.6.16.12). 2006-04-20 Distribution Release: GoblinX 1.3

A new stable version of the Slackware-based GoblinX live CD has been released: "GoblinX 1.3 is released. GoblinX 1.3 uses the same kernel from GoblinX Premium; it means you can use all extra drivers from the Premium edition on it. The new release has several improvements and upgrades, also some new special features are added, some errors and bugs are corrected, a new version of Linux-Live is used, and some scripts are upgraded. In comparison with Goblinx 1.2, this is a more stable and complete version, and almost all of the live CD was upgraded. 2006-02-22 Distribution Release: GoblinX Mini 1.2.2

A new version of the Slackware-based GoblinX Mini distribution has been released. "Released GoblinX Mini 1.2.2, the small special edition of GoblinX. GoblinX Mini 1.2.2 is an upgraded release with the addition of new features. The most special feature is ’liveupgrade’ - by using this script you can to re-master a new distribution, also from RAM memory. We also made a few changes to the ’goinstall’ script, corrected some small errors, and added several more corrections and upgrades to make this a very nice release, even though it can be less stable because of Unionfs." 2006-02-07 Distribution Release: GoblinX 2006.1

The GoblinX project has released GoblinX Premium 2006.1. Unlike the Slackware-based distribution’s previous versions, no downloadable ISO images are available this time, but experienced Linux users can build the complete ISO from modules by following the instructions in the latest GoblinX newsletter. Alternatively, the product can also be obtained from On-disk.com for US$9.99. GoblinX 2006.1 comes with kernel 2.6.15, X.Org 6.8.2, KDE 3.4.2, XFce 4.2.2, and Firefox 1.5, while the premium edition also includes Java and proprietary graphics drivers from ATI and NVIDIA.
