2006-10-26 Distribution Release: Kubuntu 6.10

The Kubuntu project has announced the release of Kubuntu 6.10, code name "Edgy Eft": "Kubuntu 6.10 has been released and is available for download now. Kubuntu 6.10 brings a bit of edginess to this release, including a new and improved desktop, artwork, applications and much more." Some of the more interesting features of Kubuntu 6.10 include: KDE 3.5.5 desktop; Digikam photo management tool; Guidance - a new power management system; a hardware database client; support for many special laptop buttons; accessibility profiles; an improved System Settings dialog; automatic setup of non-Latin writing systems. 2006-10-19 Development Release: Kubuntu 6.10 RC

Jonathan Riddell has announced the availability of the release candidate for Kubuntu 6.10: "The release candidate for Kubuntu 6.10 is now available for testing. 2006-09-28 Development Release: Kubuntu 6.10 Beta

Jonathan Riddell has announced the availability of a beta release of Kubuntu 6.10: "The beta release for Kubuntu 6.10 (code named Edgy Eft) is now available for download and testing. Kubuntu 6.10 Beta comes with plenty of new features: the user interface has been redesigned thanks to a review from the KDE Usability experts; the new power management applet makes full use of HAL to support hibernation and battery status; local network browsing can be turned on with a tick of a box; our great new 6.10 artwork has been designed for Kubuntu by Ken Wimer, one of the artists working on the Oxygen icon theme. 2006-06-01 Distribution Release: Kubuntu 6.06 LTS

Kubuntu, one of the distributions belonging to the Ubuntu family of Linux operating systems, is the first to publish a formal announcement about the product’s new release: "Kubuntu 6.06 LTS has been released. It is available for download now or for the first time you can order free Kubuntu CDs through ShipIt. This release comes with KDE 3.5.2 and includes a new installer which you can use direct from the live desktop CD. We have focused on stability and bug fixes, as our first Long Term Support release 6.06 will be supported for 3 years on the desktop and 5 years on the server." 2005-10-13 Distribution Release: Kubuntu 5.10

Hot on the heals of the new Ubuntu release, Kubuntu 5.10 is now also available: "The second release of Kubuntu, codenamed ’Breezy Badger’, is now available for download.
